Dutch football association KNVB dismissed Danny Blind as the coach of the national team after a dramatic 2-0 loss against Bulgaria in the World Cup qualifiers on Saturday. A 21-year-old Schiedam football player was arrested on Tuesday for aggravated assault on a referee during a football match on Sunday. The player headbutted 60-year-old Rotterdam referee Henry Swenandan during a match between Steeds Hoger 3 and Kocatepe 7, AD reports.

Football club ADO Den Haag is suing its Chinese shareholder. During a general meeting of representatives on Tuesday, the club's lawyer hadned a subpoena to representatives of United Vansen demanding that the shareholders fulfill their financial obligations.
