Ajax will be playing against French football club Olympique Lyonnais in the Europa League semi-finals, according to UEFA's live blog on the lottery in Nyon. The match will take place on Wednesday, May 3rd at 9:05 p.m. CEST.

The other semi final match will be between RC Celta De Vigo and Manchester United FC on May 4th. The Ajax vs Lyon match was also supposed to happen on May 4th, but as that is a day of remembrance in the Netherlands, Amsterdam asked that it be moved.

Ajax starts with a home match. The return in France is scheduled for Thursday, May 11th.

Two fans and a police officer were injured around the Europa League quarter final match between Ajax and Schalke 04 at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany on Thursday, the German police said in a statement. There were also 129 arrests and charges filed against 49 people.

The police did not say whether the injured fans were Dutch or German.

At this stage Ajax sees no reason to take any extra security measures at the Europa League match between the Amsterdam club and Schalke 04 on Thursday, following a targeted attack on Borussia Dortmund in Germany last night, a spokesperson for the club said to AD. "Because the threat level is currently no different than the last few months", he said.

A group of 80 Ajax supporters were fined by the local police in Warsaw on Thursday afternoon, prior to the Europa League match between Ajax and Legia Warsaw on Thursday evening. The Warsaw police were on high alert after about in a bar in the city during the early hours of Thursday morning, AT5 reports.

Two videos were posted on YouTube showing the aftermath of a group of Ajax fans being attacked by Legia Warsaw supporters in a bar in Warsaw, Poland. The Amsterdam club is playing against the Warsaw club in the Europa League on Thursday.

According to the Telegraaf, a group of 50 Ajax fans were in a bar called Chmury today when it was suddenly stormed by about 50 masked Legia Warsaw supporters. They first threw stones at the bar and then forced their way in. Once inside they threw tables and chairs. Surprisingly, no one was injured.

Uefa launched an investigation Friday into crowd disturbances moments before the beginning of Thursday’s match between Feyenoord and Standard Liège, newswire ANP reports. Supporters of the Belgian side broke through fencing meant to secure the visitor’s section in Rotterdam’s De Kuip stadium, and tried to fight with the home team’s supporters.

Stadium security and mobile police units were brought in, and managed to calm the situation.

Police arrested 29 Standard Liège supporters, of which three were reportedly still in custody Friday afternoon.
