Hungarian man, 49, found dead in Amsterdam canal

The body of a man was found in the water of Korte Prinsengracht in Amsterdam on Sunday morning. The victim was identified as a 49-year-old Hungarian man with no fixed address, the Amsterdam police said on Twitter.

Passersby spotted the body and called the police at around 9:00 a.m., according to Het Parool. The man's body was found near where the Canal Pride parade ended on Saturday.

The police are investigating the cause of the man's death and how long his body was in the water before being found.
