Historic Amsterdam concert hall's ceiling damage forces early end to EDM party
A performance by Job Jobse and Dixon in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam was cut short during the early hours of Friday morning due to problems with the building's ceiling. The performance was shut down at 1:00 a.m., two hours before the seven hour long party was set to end, Het Parool reports.
According to organizer Audio Obscura, the party had to be cut short because the safety of the guests could no longer be guaranteed. "Unfortunately we had to make a very difficult decision. Part of the ceiling above the stage became unstable and therefore we could not continue our event at the Concertgebouw for your safety. We are very sorry."
On social media on visitor complained about the show being canceled due to cracks in the ceiling. About a thousand people attended the party.
