Torchlight procession planned for deceased autistic teen
The family of 18-year-old Niels Wienberg is arranging a torchlight procession through his home city of Culemborg on Thursday night. The autistic teen will be buried on Friday. The procession will start at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at the town hall on Markt in Culemborg, AD reports
Niels' family set up a memorial page for him on memori.nl. So far over 1,200 people lit a virtual candle for the deceased teenager and over 130 left a message of condolence for his family.
Niels Wienberg left his home early on the morning of November 19th, without his medication. He was last definitely seen at the Culemborg railway station, though some witnesses reported seeing him in Utrecht. Several searchers were launched for him, but al to no avail. Until on Friday his body was found in the river Lek near Culemborg.
The police stated that the body was in the water for some time and that there is no sign of foul play.
