Amsterdam investing in a "cleaner and safer" city
The Amsterdam VVD, D66 and SP are investing 3 million euros into a cleaner and safer Amsterdam. "Amsterdam is getting busier, which makes more mess and insecurity on the streets. We want extra money for a cleaner and safer city, on top of the money that is already there", Marja Ruigrok, leader of the Amsterdam faction of the VVD, said to AT5.
1.2 million euros will be used to keep the city cleaner, 1 million to address unsafe situation and another 1 million for extra enforcement capacity.
"Amsterdammers must regrain their grip on Amsterdam. That goes with reports being followed up quickly an visible results in places where the need is greatest. Through that Amsterdam can stay the beautiful and livable city wea are all so fond of", Ruigrok said.
