Hottest September 13th ever in the Netherlands
At around 1:50 p.m. today it was 29.9 degrees Celsius in De Bilt, the hottest temperature ever measured on September 13th since temperature measurement started in 1901. The previous record was set in 1919 when 29.6 degrees was measured in De Bilt, NOS reports.
The national record was broken ten minutes earlier - at 1:40 p.m. it was 32.1 degrees in Maastricht.

The hot weather will hold on for another day or two. Temperatures are expected to start dropping to around 20 degrees from Friday.
