Seven caged kittens found in Purmerend dumpster
Seven black and white kittens were crammed into a small transport cage and left in the trash in Spinnerhof, Purmerend on Thursday, the Purmerend Animal Ambulance said on Facebook.
According to RTV Noord-Holland, a local resident discovered the kittens when he went to throw something away. He heard miauwing and went to investigate.
The kittens were in a reasonable condition, but were very thirsty when they arrived at the Animal Ambulance shelter. According to the Ambulance, they are pretty upset and jumpy and quite dirty. They're about 12 weeks old and seem to be from the same litter.
The Ambulance pressed charges and hopes that the owner of these kittens can be found and calls on its Facebook followers to help identify him or her. "The Kittens will not go back to the owner, but to a good home."
