Louis Van Gaal not returning to Netherlands' football
Louis van Gaal will not be leaving his post as manager of Manchester United to return to the Netherlands, ESPN reports.
Last week there were several rumors that Van Gaal was returning to the Netherlands to be the technical director at the new football center for excellence, set to open later this year. But Van Gaal rejected the KNVB's offer.
According to ESPN, this happened after Manchester United assured him that his position as manager is safe until his contract ends in 2017, despite rumors that he could leave due to a mixed season and be replaced by Jose Mourinho.
Van Gaal plans to retire after his contract with Manchester United ends in 2017.
