Banksy, Warhol exhibit to open new Amsterdam museum
The Moco Museum opening in Amsterdam at the end of this month will open with an exhibition featuring the work of Pop Art icon Andy Warhol and Street Art legend Banksy, the museum announced.
The Moco Museum is a modern contemporary museum set to open on Amsterdam's Museumplein, between the Van Gogh and the Rijksmuseum, at the end of March. The Museum wants to reach a "wide, international and young audience". The Warhol-Banksy exhibit will feature more than 50 works from each artist, including the 3 x 4 meter Banksy painting "Beanfield". According to the museum, Banksy has been on the top of the art world for more than two years and they want to give him "the unauthorized exhibition he deserves". Banksy has been known to secretly place his works in art museum.
