Mom and daughter saved from ISIS return to Netherlands

The 19 year old Aicha is back in the Netherlands. Earlier this year the girl traveled to the ISIS area in Syria, where she planned to marry a jihadist. Her mother Monique, who also traveled to Syria to rescue her daughter, has also returned. The pair spent some time in Turkey waiting for their return to the Netherlands. Their return was hampered because the teenager from Maastricht was traveling without a passport. The municipality of Maastricht had previously denied her a passport to prevent her from traveling to the Middle East. According the her lawyer, Aicha has been handed over to the Public Prosecutor in the Netherlands. Justice has confirmed that the teenager arrived at Schiphol yesterday afternoon and was detained there. The Public Prosecutor would not say what she is suspected of.
