EasyJet sees boom on Air France strike
The pilot strike at Air France in September, which lasted two weeks, yielded about 5 million pounds (6.4 million euros) in extra revenue for budget airlines easyJet.
The airline now expects profit of between 575 million and 580 million pounds. Earlier this year they expected between 545 and 570 million pounds.
easyJet's financial year ended on September 30th. Their annual figures will be presented on November 4th.
The fact that easyJet benefited from the strike at Air France-KLM is extra bitter. The pilots were striking against management plans to thwart low cost carriers like easyJet.
