Leiden student threatened examiner
A student from the University of Leiden has been threatening the president of the examining board for the Jurisprudence Faculty for months. The target has received many letters, in which threats on his life were made. His home was also covered in paint, and a window was shattered, the University reports today.
"It was quickly deduced that the threats may have come from the corner of a student who was unhappy about a decision of the examining board about him", the University says. After this, measures were taken to protect the president. The investigation by the police has led to the arrest of the suspect. The accused student will have to appear in court on 21 March in The Hague to defend himself against the threats.
