The 2013 MTV EMA will be held in Amsterdam at the Ziggo Dome on November 10.
The band moves on to compete against the other national winners for title of Best Worldwide Act.
They beat Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Nicky Romero en Nielson for the title of Best Dutch Act.
Kensington is riding on the success of their album Vultures. In a statement, the band said that they're pleased with the award, which comes after a year where they played 70 music festivals, and had a sold-out club tour.
"Because of that," they said, "we are honored to be part of the MTV EMA, and look forward to how MTV will take over Amsterdam in about two weeks."
