Timmermans said there are 5,500 Dutch tourists in Egypt at the moment while 1,400 are working and residing there. The Netherlands already issued a travel advisory against Egypt. Foreign ministers will have an urgent meeting in Brussels on Wednesday to talk about Egypt’s situation. The Netherlands already discontinued its small assistance program to Egypt last week.
